LA Concierge Medicine

The complete list of LA Concierge Medicine is online. Concierge Medicine goes by many names, boutique medicine, retainer medicine, executive health, VIP medicine, and personalized medicine. Finding the right Concierge Physician is the most important step for patient considering the best care. Concierge Physician is a new style of practice with old roots, in which doctors limit their patient base in order to provide patients with personalized service, high quality care, 24-7 availability, and other amenities. In exchange for this enhanced personal attention, patients pay Medicine an annual fee. This concierge fee enables Medicine to increase their compensation while managing their workload. In addition to receiving an annual fee, most concierge Medicine continue to receive reimbursements from health plans and private pay clients.

Sunscreen

Sunscreen agents prevent sunburn. Limiting exposure to the sun and using sun block and sunscreen when in the sun may help prevent early wrinkling and skin cancer. There are two kinds of sunscreen agents: chemical and physical. Chemical sunscreen agents protect the skin from the sun by absorbing the ultraviolet (UV) and visible sunrays, while physical sunscreen agents reflect, scatter, absorb or block these rays. Sunscreen agents often contain more than one ingredient. For example, products may contain one ingredient, which provides protection against Ultraviolet A (UVA) sunrays, and another ingredient that protects the skin from the Ultraviolet B (UVB) sunrays, which are more likely to cause sunburn than the UVA rays. Ideally, sunscreen coverage should include protection against both UVA and UVB sunrays. The sun protection factor (SPF) found on the label of these products indicates the minimum amount of UVB sunlight the product protects from. It compares the redness associated with protected versus unprotected skin. Sunscreen products with high SPFs provide more protection against the sun.

Advanced Skin Products

The most advanced skin products penetrate deeper where skin problems start. They can alleviate spider veins, loose skin, skin firming on the eyes, neck, face and body, stretch marks on thighs and the breasts and more! Under-eye puffiness is usually only a temporary cosmetic concern and rarely a sign of a serious underlying medical condition. Some tips for reducing mild under-eye puffiness are: Raise the height of the head while in bed at night. This helps prevent fluids from accumulating around the eyes during sleep. While sitting up, apply a cool tap water compress to the skin under the eyes for a few minutes. Chilled cucumber slices, a refrigerated gel mask or chilled, damp tea bags also work well. Pedicure

A pedicure is a way to improve the appearance of the feet and their nails. It provides a similar service as a manicure. The word pedicure refers to superficial cosmetic treatment of the feet and toenails and comes from the Latin words pedis, which means "of the foot," and cura, which means "care." A pedicure can help prevent nail diseases and nail disorders. Pedicures are not just limited to nails; a pedicurist removes dead skin cells on the bottom of feet using a rough pumice stone. Additionally, leg care below the knee is a common and now expected service included in pedicures. Leg care includes depilation via either shaving or waxing followed by granular exfoliation, application of moisturizing creams and a brief leg massage. The pedicure industry began to grow in 2000. There were approximately 50,000 nail salons located throughout the United States in 2000. There were 100,000 nail salons in 2009. The growth of full-service salons drove this increase. People have been pedicuring their nails for more than 4,000 years. In southern Babylonia, noblemen used solid gold tools to give themselves manicures and pedicures. The use of fingernail polish even started earlier. Originating in China in 3,000 BC, nail color indicated one’s social status, according to a Ming Dynasty manuscript; royal fingernails were painted black and red. Ancient Egyptians have been manicuring all the way back to 2300 BC. A depiction of early manicures and pedicures was on a carving from a pharaoh’s tomb, and the Egyptians paid special attention to their feet and legs. The Egyptians also colored their nails, using red to indicate the highest social class.
